Dalby Ambulance Service Visits Play ELC

Dalby Ambulance Visit and Safety Awareness πŸš‘πŸš¨

Today, the children at Play Early Learning Centre had an exciting visit from the Dalby Ambulance team.
The ambulance visit provided an exceptional learning opportunity for the children, tying into the ‘Hazards and Safety’ unit that we have been learning.
This experience values real-world learning and hands-on experiences. The visit allowed the children at our childcare centre to develop an understanding of safety and emergency services in a practical and engaging manner.

A massive thank you to the Dalby Ambulance Team for coming to visit us at Play Early Learning Centre 😊

Meet Miss Emily!

She is one of our new Diploma qualified Educators at Play ELC on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
She brings with her 8 years of early childhood experience and is a step-mum to two children. Miss Emily is a cheerful carer.
Here’s a little about Miss Emily:
1. Favourite dessert: Vanilla Slice
2. Pets? A sausage dog named Sally, a cat named Roxy, 2 pigs named Maple Bacon & Cheesy Bacon and 4 chickens πŸ“.
3. Dream holiday? Travel a lap around Australia πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί.
4. What did you want to be growing up? A teacher or a hairdresser.

Dalby Fire Fighters Visit Play ELC

The Dalby Fire Fighters visited Play Early Learning Centre πŸš’

On Tuesday, 18 June, the children at our childcare centre learned that there are 4 rules to being safe during a fire:

1. Don’t play with fire.

2. Get down low and go, go, go.

3. Don’t go back in; and,

4. Stop. Drop and roll.

We are very thankful to the Dalby Fire Fighters for letting us each use their fire hose. It was such a great morning πŸš’ it has been a good follow on from our 'SeeMore Safety' unit with the children at daycare. Thanks @qld_fes
